A Symbol of Perfection

By dannerman

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I've Come to find that in my life Exists a symbol of perfection. Personified in A friend of mine, She has gained my full affection. As for Right now we are but friends And have quickly grown quite close. She Is the one in my life right now I think I trust the most. She wrote the book on beauty - Of that there's no dispute. And ev'ry time you look at her You think "oh, wow! She's cute!!" Sometimes I wish we were together As Something more than friends, But our friendship means a lot to me- I hope it never ends. I wish there was some way to tell her How much I care for her. I'm Afraid of scaring her away, Making our friendship just a blur. I'm sure that ev'ry girl who reads this Is wondering if she's the one. To this I must devise a little game, And add a bit of fun. Her name is hidden here within - Among these very words. It is spelled with ev'ry letter Exactly how it's heard. Once she finds out that she's the one, There's one thing left to do. That is just to say to her 3 words: I LOVE YOU!
