Blue Steel by Darmok 12/16/01 (for EvolovE) Work the metal, stoke the furnance, red hot desire. Beat the metal bend its flesh, quench the metal's fire. Upon the anvil face I my fate, to yield beneath the blows, harder and harder, my soul is tempered, never again to know. What was I to begin with, a small slab of steel, bent over, again and again, I am no longer real. Forged body, and warped for his design, I'm put beneath for shoe, to be trodded upon and kicked and thrown, beyond my body blue.Inspired after reading a verse from EvolovE.  My heart goes out to all our friends, here, victims of abuse, or pretty darn close to someone who has been abused.  Shaka, when the walls fell.
