Straw Man                       By Darmok 12/10/00                       Between the stretch of day and night,                       Where shadows born inch their way.                       Loom the years of forgotten day,                       Into the cracks of earth they lay.                       What are these thoughts that I would dream,                       A fancy, a glimmer beyond the glass.                       The window separates the ease and pain,                       Of dreams forgotten, the moments passed.                       Look there amongst the leaves,                       Gathered store of rot and stone.                       Make a meal of these my earthworm friends,                       There is no place for dreams alone.                       Away from the shadows which linger over me,                       Looking out my windowpane.                       Over the hill in tomorrow's day,                       Drift asleep the chaff and wane.the pic is a vangogh Written November 15th, 2001 © on Nov 15 2001 07:28 AM PST, Darmok    0 • 1
