Distant Voices by Darmok 4/4/95 Distant voices plunge the depths, the myriad torrents of the Web. Surf the silence of Cyber Space, the waves of network’s ebb. From luxless glow of terminal light, the users merge within. Their modem voices scream connect, as a thousand others join them. The novice pilots-their course unsure, are lost without direction. Sink to depths of curious search, where Lurkers patiently await them. The experienced users remain unscathed, and cruise the web with skill. A plotted course they find their home, where rest they take their fill. Addicted users sail into the night, with currents carried away. The mystery absorbs the fleeting light, unaware of passing day. Some are lonely, in search of face, anonymous voices, meek. Their sails of shrouded veils, empowered the lonely speak. Treasure hunters beware, all is not what it seems. A tangled web of misdirection, exposes evil's schemes. There is bounty to be had, in distant web page home . Knowledge, friendships, the unlimited, connected modem tone....... Remember on the long voyage back, reality's place - your home. Don't loose your self in cyber space, remember your face, your own.
