“Old Ones”                       by Darmok                       I welcome this quite dying,                       the darkness brings its sleep.                       Eons flickering like candles dying,                       the cold and old do weep.                       Ancient stars long since expired,                       remain vigilant and light the night.                       Spattered heavens of life and death,                       who is there to see the light?                       When I wake I will be reborn,                       into a new universe I embark.                       From the old births the new,                       burning candles pierce the dark.                       The ‘Old-Ones’ gather there,                       new universes, suns burn white.                       Dark masses shrinking, swallowing,                       Who is there, to see the night.                       5/5/97 Written November 15th, 2001 © on Nov 15 2001 09:51 AM PST, Darmok    0 • 13
