Slivers... by Darmok 2/03/02 Slivers The universe that is you, could never be fully mapped or explored by my mind. I could only believe that my understanding is but a drop from tears that hang as stars, The sight or touch of just a sliver, could overwhelm me.... I am but at the foot of the mountain that would dare pierce the clouds that cover my sight of the stars that hold your experience, knowledge, beauty, and the ugliness you have seen and felt. But in all universes there is a balance of creation, thereto is found destruction in black convoluted masses that consume. Black holes would pull You to a place where neither time, light or sound Can escape.... submission lends you no warmth or hand, only slivers of temporal existence in a light never held, never quite touched. There are so many voices sharing of their hearts within allpoetry. I could never ever think that I 'know', or see in their darkness all that has been, is. I might struggle forever 'and a day' :), to catch sight of but a sliver of what weighs so heavily on the souls of children and the shells that protect them now. The struggle is unimaginable, because my mind has never been rolled flat and twisted, seared by the ignorance of brutality; how could I imagine, or think that I could see in the dark.
