Swing Set ~*~Sun Set by Darmok  3/20/02 Rust covered legs in abandoned yards, swings set in concrete universes hanging idly in want, echoing children's' voices and screams... of joy and tears for bloody knees and broken spirits wandering empty lots. ~*~ The wind speaks in patient remembrance, inspiring swings to utter their squeaks from a distant day long forgotten. ~*~ Only the birds come to play, to perch and drop their layering filth below, undisturbed, there on swings given to the moon and her tides, the sun's scorch and stare. ~*~ A relic of what was, fades away in decomposition, slowly disappearing in the silhouette of the decaying sunset.
