Wakening of Day

Wakening of Day by Darmok 3/26/02 ~~ The song began to play as my door swung open and a cool breeze settled in carrying along the whispers of jasmine and honeysuckle. Secrets adrift on ribbons of invisible silk streaming down from weeping hillsides covered in blush and white virgin dresses. ~~~ The songs in the trees, blessed by the early morning offering of silver and gold, arise in syncopated chorus as larks and redwings vie for vocal dominance, boasting of perfection and celebrated tribute of the wakening of day. ~~~ My small part of this divine poetry, of earth's breath and yawn. Her stretching, and waking of slumbering voices and spectral enchantments, is but to appreciate the smells and taste of life. This visual miracle of nature's harmony set in motion and in song. ~~ Written March 26th, 2002 © on Mar 26 2002 09:11 AM PST, Darmok    0 • 18 • 12
