Flickering Friendship
By DayDreamer
Like a flame light on a wick, Our friendship burns out very quick. Although you were my sanctuary, There's something there I wouldn't marry. The candle wax is like our days; Dripping, going in many ways. Like a ripple in the water, The slightest stone will soon alter, Our life that once would have been, Nothing but emotional sin. What once was, is now gone. I lost your love with the coming dawn. Moving on will not be easy. Since when do loved ones make you queasy? Wait for me, in sense that I, Will be there with you just to cry. Emphasize our times together, Even in the worst of weather. Remember all the good and bad, All the times we've ever had ...Please...Long Time Ago, I won $100 bucks for this poem, and got it published in a book. :) Written October 24th, 2001 © on Oct 24 2001 07:19 AM PST, Brandon 0 • 8
