© 02/02/2002 Dennis L. Pickering 1:56 AM You just have “faith” we are told By the ones who want our gold If they’d only realize We have little for their prize. They take little from many Although it’s just a penny Fills their coffers aplenty When they acquire that penny But Ben said, “A penny save.” Is a penny that’s been made To put in your bankrolls grave Situation to behave. As though it does want to grow And replenish seeds you sow But it can be apropos To increase your spending dough Don’t know though you want to spend Cash you have acquired on wend Save it and around the bend That cash will grow and append. All that you might have on hand Can gamely spend in your land Acquire things life does demand Like a fish that you do land The routine that you enlist Is the lifestyle you have kiss’t Isn’t one you’ve caught in jist And won’t ask you to desist.
