Lighthouse
© 12/29/2001 Dennis L. Pickering This lighthouse is only you The light you shine must be blue You will dawn another shoe When you decide you can do! Keep the ship you ride on course From the rocks that do endorse All of the negative force That’s encountered in the door. That you open in your life Which can fill you full of strife And make you forget your wife That you’ve worked on all your life. Wives not of the female kind, Wives are projects you unwind. Wives can put you in a bind. Wife projects enrich your mind. You, the lighthouse broadcast safe Things that you don’t wish to strafe In the ocean in your safe ’Cause them you don’t need to strafe. Strafing only causes death To projects that you beget Though they may cause you to fret Also they cause you to get Getting things is why we’re here Drinking from this cup of cheer On this cliff that can be sheer And is always ever near For us to freely jump from To rich life we rightly come And we don’t want to be dumb Or be underneath a thumb Of some one who thinks they’re big But we know they’re just a pig Cannot aptly dance the jig Or achieve upon their rig Finis Written December 29th, 2001 © on Dec 28 2001 07:38 PM PST, Dennis Pickering 0 • 13
