We All Have Something Weird

By Dennis Pickering

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

© 1/02/2000 Dennis L. Pickering We all have something weird Which we have to explain. If not but to ourselves Then to one outside us. Our weirdness is petty It rests on who keeps score. Weird means, “I’m unlike you” And unlike are we all. We all seek to attach ourselves As though that is the thing to do. Pleasing ourselves is not germane Pleasing others is our purpose. How is another overjoyed? Ti’s easier than you might know, Give LOVE freely to everyone As though you acknowledged them.
