My American Song ~ A Friends Write~

By Desdemona

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I have to write an American song I wouldn't have to think for long So, many things to sing about When, I look up sitting in class I see the flag outside waving Singing it's own song Everything you could sing about Is out there whistling its own tune So, it's not objects I sing about It's our thoughts that really matter It's our feelings that urge us To hang that flag up high It's not in the rules That would should hang the flag at school It's not written down That the flags should be flown It's our choice We do it on our own!!!This was written by a friend of mine. She is in the 11th grade. Please give any comments that you feel nessessary :) Thank you all for reading. Lee Written March 24th, 2002 © on Mar 24 2002 07:10 AM PST, Lee Gillilan   0 • 10
