My Damn Luck
By Desdemona
I threw salt over my right shoulder Gave away a tail's down penny to a friend Hung a horse shoe over my bedroom door To you get you to notice me I picked a four-leaf clover Spent a whole day throwing pennies in a wishing well Rubbed on my lucky rabbit's foot all day To get you to acknowledge I exist I made a wish upon the first star Crossed my fingers twice Walked backwards in the rain for hours To dance just one slow dance with you I sent a wish upon a prayer I got on stage and broke a leg I sent a letter in a bottle out to sea So, you would never have a chance to forget me I tried all the luck I could possibly could But nothing seemed to work Either all my luck has ran out of time or you're just one hell of a jerk!!!
