My Escalator Hell ~Challenge Poem~
By Desdemona
Today, I took a big step One small step on the escalator One giant leap in my mind This is my biggest fear Why you ask? It moves so quickly What if my shoe string is untied? It could get sucked up, in the end of these fast moving stairs I once seen an episode of Emergency 911, it was very unpleasant A little boy got his arm caught in these horrifying escalators His arm turned blue and he about died I know I am an adult I probably wouldn't die I know I shouldn't be this afraid But my brain overcomes my heart overcomes my fears I can't breath To many people surround me Get away, damn you! I sweat profusely The stairs they move so fast, but so slow I need help I need air Get out of my way Next time.... I'm just taking the stairs Heck with this insanity!Challenge Description: A claustrophobic stranded on an escalator. That's right...and escalator. As big or small as you want it to be, and please....don't harm any escalators in the making of your poem. (30 points) Written March 2nd, 2002 © on Mar 02 2002 04:43 AM PST, Lee Gillilan 0 • 10
