No Need For Me
By Desdemona
Growing up young is a difficult task Shout up and listen becomes your everyday language Tears roll down my dirty face Memorable moments of neglect and abuse Honorable kiddy medals for special attention Teenage years are harder yet Puberty, Acne, and maturity are top form Hormones rush through your veins not in your head Must study to get through this hard life Who the fuck they think they are kidding? Twenty-two years old and a bum Fucked everyone in this town College degree. You don't need one of those. Just need a dime and a bag of weed Life sucks when you're on the street Twenty five and barely alive Local job in a burger joint down the street Welfare don't except bums, nor anyone with a part time job Thinking of burning their building down tonight Heat for my hands Life is hard when no one cares about you anymore Tonight is the night for my dreams to fly No need for education, family or life I don't look like they do Some things will never change I dont' wear my smile on my sleeve But I will wear my blood so perfect Tonight of all nights It will stain me like society And then it will keep me warm forever And I will die in my own arms The same way I came into this fucked up world!!!!!!!
