Raindrop Kisses
By Desdemona
I fall to the earth with the greatest of ease Kissing the branches of these swaying trees God made me special can't you see I am moist and sweet like nectar from a bumble bee The air current it carries me further down this shaky limb I glide with the wind on a curious whim I speed past the leaves and nestle with a bug For a while my best friend becomes a salty slug I then say goodbye and move on past This feeling so warm... feels like I'm free at last I fall with a thump and snuggle the ground I look like the other drops.. hard to be found But god gave me a gift can't you see I am moisture for the earth to make it preTTY So when you look up and see me falling down Remember I am a single raindrop kissing the ground!Challenge Description: You're a raindrop, dripping from branch to branch to branch on a tree...down down down I tried.. i think this is one of my best for writing in less then 5 minutes. :) Written December 27th, 2001 © on Dec 27 2001 12:51 PM PST, Lee Gillilan 0 • 10
