me, my heart, and a lonely song

By Doc Watson

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

the treasured things we've seen and done our time together had just begun but it was just another story in a dream lost from your heart to mine, or somewhere in between we had a special song, that no one else could hear but now it plays inside my head, and brings with it a tear left sitting outside, in the cold with whispered promises, left untold once again i'm all alone with no one left to call my own time stands still as i struggle along just me, my heart, and a lonely song Written April 2nd, 2002 © on Apr 01 2002 07:02 PM PST   0 • 1
