A Tower Times Two
By DoubleD
As I sit at my desk, at the end of the hall, At the top of the building, Called the World Trade Center; I feel a rumble, and I hear a crash One so loud, and so blunt; There is fire, and smoke Along the walls, windows, and floors; I wonder if KaMorge will be in to clean; Along the corridor, and down the hall; Are shouts and screams of a fire; And another bang and another rumble, And I feel as though I am weightless, As though I am on a ride like the Mission 2 Mars; I fall, but for only a minute or two, And a pile of ruble 12 tons, more or less, Falls onto my back, And the backs of the 5,000 people still in the building; I lay there still as I can, For moving helps no more than lying, I gasp for air, but there is none to be found, I move my arms around to try to create an air pocket, And I see light, Some one else is moving too; But the shadowy figure is one that I can not remember, Short, white, with spots of black is this stranger, And I feel as though I am dead, for there is no such creature; I hear a calling, for a woman named LaKisha, I feel as though she didn't make it, My named is called out, By a woman, one I have never heard before, I try to scream out to her, but my voice has left my body; I grab at my throat, with the little room I have, And I feel a thick liquid leaving, At once I think its blood, A red mist leaves my mouth, as a brick is moved from my head; And a creature from heaven has come to release me from my body; The woman yells out my name again and shakes my broken hand, I try to smile but the pain is too much to bare; At the hospital I hear about the crash, Two hi-jacked planes have hit the building I once worked in; At the top of the World Trade Center, At the end of the hall, In my own little desk.can you tell that the stranger (from heaven) is a dalmation?
