Ostracized

By ecologist

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I fall -- further into the darkness crumbling, tumbling into nothing tears slip -- roll down my cheek pain, unshown hides behind this mask --- waiting for the silence to explode --- leaving nothing, plain emptiness to hold a cracked...shattered mind ostracized by all including memories and nightmares I look out --- through dead eyes into a bright...world unforgiving, incompassionate cold -- silver white light breaches my soul lasing through my mind a guided missle tearing --- apart anything there is of me friends, enemies all the same I can't change them, it is all the same nothing changes I go --- leaving nothing behind a shadow --- quickly fading in light dying -- my heart failing... beating less with each tic-toc a metronome with no one... to wind it anymore. Ostracized and ignored. Written November 6th, 2001 © on Nov 06 2001 12:10 PM PST   0 • 10
