A Journey
Landing on the headland I kissed upon the spot Where upon I‘d landed But there I could not stop Looking all around me Then saw the mountain peaks That seemed to call me to them The voices didn’t speak Working my way to them I looked around in awe The beauty laid before me I’ve never seen before I reached the peaks quite easily Drawing breath of wonder Not beholding such before It really made me ponder Before me lay a wondrous scene Of hills and dales pure Leading to a valley Though this I was unsure Transcending down to take a look At what bedazzled my eyes Making my way forward To look through it’s disguise Entering the valley So smooth and pure in form Just a cave resided there It seemed to be so warm The heat down there was sultry No cover, but so moist A hidden cave not used much My only path of choice I entered it with caution Damp and warm seemed nice How had I arrived here? And what would be the price? Can I ever leave this place? I pondered in my head A feeling that’s so comfortable Should I stay and make my bed?
