A Message For The Infidel (Challenge Poem)
Challenge Description: Write me a poem about the war in Afghanistan, but write it from the opposite view point than you hold. Don't cheat. I'll know. (50 points) The piccy is 'sick' but in keeping with the challenge ... no offence is intended to any one ... Andy I'm fighting for my one God The one that I hold true Because it's what I'm here for It's what I have to do The path is clearly written I must face my fate Running with my destiny For which I cannot wait I'll face up to the infidel To drive them from our land Fathers, sons and brothers Together we will stand No matter what they do to us We'll stay until the end They have no right to be here My country I'll defend Bombs and guns don't scare me Fate is what I fear Not defending 'the true way' Will cost my family dear So off I go to battle I'll fight with heart and soul I may not be a soldier Though freedom is my goal Fighting off oppressors Who do not know our way Soldiers of the nations Defenders of decay Looking back at my family Knowing I do right The smiles I see them wearing Fills me with delight They know whatever happens A hero I will be By risking life and injury I'll win eternity For that is what the enemy Does not understand For we are true, proud people Who'll die to save our land © Andy..HardingChallenge Description: Write me a poem about the war in Afghanistan, but write it from the opposite view point than you hold.
