Pyres Of Misery

By Einstein on Crack

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Burning seas of misery Scattered ‘cross the country Livelihoods eaten by flames Charred carcasses litter the landscape Plotting the March of an invisible enemy Spreading silently-The reaper moves on Confusion and fear in its pathway Death and destruction in its wake Scarring our green and pleasant land Its relentless campaign rolling on Not knowing when to stop The country brought to its knees By the silent assassin Rampaging through the masses (Inspired by the Foot and Mouth Crisis in the UK which started Spring 2001 and was only declared free recently .... Livelihoods and whole areas have been decimated both financially and socially from this invisible and indiscriminate disease) Copyright © Andy..Harding(Inspired by the Foot and Mouth Crisis in the UK which started Spring 2001 and was only declared free recently ....
