Utopia

Wouldn't life be great If we all lived in Utopia No violence or tension because of race Hate and persecution - Non-existent Joy and happiness in abundance Poverty would not exist Race, Creed, Colour or Politic Causing no problems Everyone gets the food they need Fat-Cats would not be Wealth would be shared by all Crime would not happen Life would be perfect Utopia is a dream Unrealistic in our world Humans are emotional Need and greed go hand in hand Life is balanced between good and bad You need one to know the other Thats why it's merely a dream It's simply not possible As much as we would want it to be Improbable .... Impossible ... So let's take the best bits Try to send our message out We are one on this planet Let us love, share and live in peace At times it will be tough But let's not hurt one another Why not try talking it through Violence is compounding problems Crime will never dissipate completely Until greed is forgotten I don't think that will happen Utopia is a dream If we all dream hard emough Maybe some of our ideals Will happen for everyone Peace can then reign A farewell to arms Would be heavenly Even then we would see Our dream is beyond reach Half-way there would be a blessing So let's keep the dream Keep on dreaming for perfection To see where it takes us Seeing how good we can make it Without reaching Utopia (c) Andy Harding Copyright © Andy..HardingA Pipedream Written January 6th, 2002 © on Jan 06 2002 01:04 AM PST, Andy Harding   0 • 11 • 9
