Sign of the Times

By garycwh

The sun breaks the day only to light up to the traffic commuters   rushing to their offices   to front of their computers Children waited for buses to send   them to school     to teach them everything except       how to be a child... Boys no longer need toys   they want sophisticated gadgets     which could blast Superman out of the sky! Girls no longer need dolls   they want luxurious mannequins     with different boyfriends each fall! Men no longer need health   they want classy habits     to be the 'in-crowd' with abundant wealth Wars are raged in the name of peace   Weapons are made for the sake of humanity Where races are eliminated for ethnic superiority   In futile attempts to conceal their vanity Where colors no longer defines the rainbow...   only where the guys in the streets go Inspirations are no longer of the soul   only ambitions for dominance     only desires for gold Written November 18th, 2001 © on Nov 18 2001 12:24 AM PST   18 • 0 • 9
