Cupid's Cruel Joke
Cupid played a cruel joke on me He led me to believe that my loved loved me in return But all he really did was stab me right in the core of my heart As he maniacally laughed and said Fool next time you'll learn Cupid played me for a fool But in love aren't fools the one's who are supposed to win? Instead of his love being a blessing and heaven sent What he did should be added as one of the world's deadliest sins Cupid loved to play games with me And he mocked my pain as he had target practice upon my heart While he looked at my soul to paint with the blood of my heart As if it were already some mangled piece of art Cupid was supposed to strike you when you least expected it And Boy did he catch me offguard!! But I never thought when Cupid came to visit me That his price for love with be so diffucult to pay and so hard Written December 18th, 2001 © on Dec 18 2001 01:02 AM PST 0 • 1
