THROUGHOUT HISTORY MY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN INFLUENTUAL TEACHERS,PHILOSOPHERS AND INVENTORS AND PEOPLE WHO HAVE FOUGHT FOR WHAT THEY BELIEVED IN NO MATTER HOW HARD OR TRIBULANT SEEMED THEIR VENTURES HARRIET TUBMAN WAS A WOMAN OF TRUTH COURAGE AND STRONG CONVICTION SHE FOUGHT FOR FREEDOM AND JUSTICE FOR HER PEOPLE IN TIMES WHEN WE WERE KEPT DOWN AND BINDED SORROWFULLY BOUND IN A GREAT DEAL OF RESRTICTION MALCOLM X IN THE 1950'S AND 60'S HELD HELD THE HOPES AND DREAMS OF AN ENTIRE RACE IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND AND SO HE TAUGHT US IF WE ARE BEING UNJUSTLY TRIED TO STAND ON OUR OWN TWO FEET AND MAKE A RIGHTOUS STAND MARTIN LUTHER KING JR., A MAN WHO PREACHEDTHAT NO MATTER WHAT CREED OR SKIN COLOR WE ARE STILL INSIDE WE REMAIN THE SAME AND BECAUSE OF A DREAM AND HIS FAITH IN GOD HE WORKED TIRELESSLY AND BELIVED THAT ALL HIS WORK WOULD NEVER GO IN VEIN SO HERE WE ARE IN THE PRESENT AND BECAUSE OF THESE ICONS AND MANY MORE MANY OF OUR DREAMS WE ARE FINALLY ABLE TO MAKE COME TRUE AND SO WE SHOULD NEVER FORGET THE DOORS OF HOPE AND OPPURTUNITY THEY OPENED THAT WAS CLOSED FOR THEM SO THAT NOW IN TODAY'S TIME WE WOULD BE ABLE TO WALK THROUGH Written July 3rd, 2001 © on Jul 03 2001 03:58 PM PST   0 • 10
