Where do I go from here

By GhettoRaisedPoet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Your arms were once a safe haven to me But now that shelter is gone An now that my heart has lost it's home in your eyes A drastic change for the worst it has undergone The bed we made love in Was once a volcano of passion But now that I wake up on this cold surface alone I search for traces of your smile in the smallest ration I look into the mirror And imagine the person I used to be I was once at the height of love's greatest peak But now my heart wails endlessly like a waling banshee I can no longer bring myself to eat For my soul has lost the will to live Another day I do not care to see Because to another being I can never give my heart to them eternally Written October 12th, 2001 © on Oct 12 2001 02:53 PM PST   0 • 1
