Ability to Face the Truth
By Gunslinger
Driving far too fast around an oval, Chasing time... We call it entertainment... But I think we've lost our mind. A man who weighs one forty- With his spurs strapped to his boots- Stands above a ton of bull... There at the bucking chutes. A climber, like a spider- Hangs upon a sheer rock wall... A thousand feet below him- Rocks are waiting for his fall. Divorce is running rampant- Marriage victimized by pride! Why can't we realize that we're- Committing suicide? Life is brief, but precious... Happiness a state of mind. Ability to face that truth... Is mighty hard to find. Written December 19th, 2001 © on Dec 19 2001 03:39 AM PST, John R. Yaws 18 • 0 • 10
