Decisions
By Gunslinger
I sat there, mind in idle... And I wondered what to do. Should I accept the status quo? Or should I write to you? And, if so, what is there to say? That would not be a lie... It somehow goes against the grain To make a lady cry. Each time I read your comments- They touch and warm my heart. To listen to emotion’s cry- I’ve learned is not real smart. The biographic glimpses... Have drawn and captured me... And anywhere that you reside, Is where I want to be. I want to spread a blanket- Upon a meadow green... And tell you my adventures, And places I have seen. Tell me what you’re thinking? A penny for your thoughts. Into your eyes I’m sinking... This path’s with danger fraught... I fear that I will hurt you- I know it’s hurting me... I guess the wisest thing to do... Is let the whole thing be. Written January 30th, 2002 © on Jan 30 2002 02:38 PM PST, John R. Yaws 0 • 10
