Flight of an Angel

By Gunslinger

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I thought about you all day long, And well into the night. And pondered conversations, And if you’d taken flight… So fly away my angel- And soar to lands unknown. And think about this cowboy… After you have flown. Think about the things I said, As the days flow by… About my poetry you’ve read- Who taught you how to fly… And if the distant lands and clime, Do not appeal to thee- I’m still out here upon the plains, So please return to me.
