I Don't Love You Anymore

By Gunslinger

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I Don’t Love You AnymoreI just called you up to tell you-I don’t love you anymore.I’ll make it fine without you,Just the way I did before.I’ve made a lot plans, girl-But I feel I must confess…I don’t love you anymore,But I don’t love you any less.My fickle heart betrayed me-Every day it cries for you.My arms still reach for you at night,I don’t know what to do.My mind tells me, “Good riddance”,I still dream of your caress-I don’t love you anymore,But I don’t love you any less.I remember when I met you-Your smile just stole my heart. We used terms like forever…Said that we would never part…I could never love another-Now that I have known the best-I don’t love you anymore-But I don’t love you any less. © Copyright 2001 John R.
