I Still Love You
By Gunslinger
I'm sitting here, just thinking- Wishing I could turn back time. Maybe twenty years or so, When I was in my prime. You were rather young then- But that would be okay, I think I'd try to win you- And then take you away. Way up in the mountains- Belwo the timber line... And build a cozy cabin, 'Twould be just yours and mine. There you could learn to love me- I really think you could. And as you knew me better, I'm certain that you would. Children, if you wanted- I'd teach them how to live... As one with nature's wildness- She has so much to give. We'd spend our lives together- Till parted by my death... I'd whisper, "I still love you." With my final, fading breath. Written February 12th, 2002 © on Feb 12 2002 10:13 AM PST, John R. Yaws 0 • 10
