Never Write Again II

By Gunslinger

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I've really been quite foolish, With my words to touch a heart. Inflicting pain and longing, And to do so isn't smart. A gift of words should never harm- Yet mine have brought much pain. And in consideration.... I must never write again. A product of the sage and sand- I blew in on a breeze... And like the restless tumble weeds I cannot rest at ease. How many people have I hurt- From reading my refrain? I think it best for all concerned, To never write again. My heart is filled with wanderlust- My mind does dote on dreams... I write of never, never land, Where nothing's as it seems. I'm burying the dreamer- Out upon the cyber-plains... To stop his inspiration... So he'll never write again.
