Not Even If I could
By Gunslinger
Not Even If Could I did a lot of drifting, back when I was young. I really cannot understand, why youth equates with dumb. I saw a lot of country, while living on the road... When freedom was my motto, hitch-hiking was my mode. No house, no debts, back in those days, no place I had to be. Not one soul in the universe, who worried about me. A cowboy and a drifter, out in the great Southwest- The mountains and the desert, were the life I loved the best. But years and miles behind me, have changed the way I think- Have changed the style of life I lead, and taught me not to drink. I've found we can't undo the past, exchange the bad for good- But I'm not sure I'd change a thing, not even if I could. Written November 23rd, 2001 © on Nov 23 2001 10:58 AM PST, John R. Yaws 0 • 10
