Sympathy
By Gunslinger
Sympathy The rain is softly falling- Just outside the window pane- I think of how when you were here, We liked to watch the rain. I think of how your happy smile- Brought light to every room, Without your presence, there remains- A house that’s filled with gloom. I think of how your laughter- Made me also want to smile, And every day at sunset- We’d go out and walk our mile… I think of all the plans we made- And often wonder , “Why?” The sky looks on in sympathy, And joins me as I cry. © Copyright 2001 John R.
