Look where you are now

By Harmony

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

This world has knocked me off my feet, It has dropped me in a place of desperation. Makes promises it will never keep. I am ill with deprivation. My heart is as cold as ice, Look where my desires have placed me. For my stubborness I have paid the price, How I loing to run and be free. I am afraid to turn from my only nourishment. I have independece but turn away. In my life there is no encouragement, I put off salvation for another day. I can not climb out of this pit, Though I struggle against the walls. Through this hole i will never fit, When at the top I fall. Why did I heed to my own wants? Through this barrier I hear no sound. All i hear are the demons taunts, saying, "Look where you are now."Wrote this in memory of a time in my life where i felt so like a lost cause. Just anote to everyone, there is no such thing as a lost cause. Written January 28th, 2002 © on Jan 28 2002 11:43 AM PST   0 • 13
