No Coincidence

By hjqh318

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

It seems no coincidence but certainly a plan To underteach even those who reach beyond the common man It is time for revolution, not platitudinous change A Kafkaesque situation in person, very strange If a white man is born in Africa and to America he came Would he not be African American to the liberal's shame Do not seem me haughty, don't defend personal destruction Stop the liars from spreading fires with race and evil unction So many persons fear the truth, thinking they shall be judged Polluting the ground that makes the road that honest men have trudged With everything behind me, am I history? Or is it that life gives us constant mystery Written April 7th, 2002 © on Apr 07 2002 09:54 AM PST   0 • 9
