~Moon Slices~

By Irish Pumpkin

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

peering upwards through the forested canopy that obscures the night skye moon winking down at us from her perch among the stars envious of our passion trading laughter and heat scoured away my sadness replaced it with romance and gladness time seems different when we're together which is always, in our heart singular since the joining now i imagine you in sweet slumber a smile comes to my lips and my torment is finally at peace gratification seeps from my pores thank you for finding me and beauty hath no value unappreciated so few words to express would but there were another word for "love" such a common and false occurence in these times seems cheapened and overused, a little cliche i would say love, but it isn't true... love is only so deep, my darling while this is bottomless, depthless righteous in our bonding separate souls blended a feeling of completion an ode to moon slicesMoon slices...when the moon is but a silvered sliver resting upon the cloudless sky.
