~Raison d'etre~

By Irish Pumpkin

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

~ Reflecting back on the night secret kisses infiltrated by moonlight~ Laughter swaying with the gentle breeze delightful shivers tickling my skin~ Serpent tongues caressing my ear nimble fingertips undressing~ Heart bleeding tendermost adoration shameless thirst satisfactorily quenched~ Shared warmth annihilating the bitter cold plucking dried leaves from our hair~ Relishing glory in the moments mere words cannot do justice proper~ Thinking back on the magik morning prolonged from breaking~ And wond'rings of what shall come bringing smiles to our inseparable lips~ The future spreads her silken wings before us past joys eclipsed by every new dawning~ You, my Love, are my Raison d'etre. ~Raison d'etre is french, I believe. It translates as reason for living or justification for being. Dedicated to my Irishclam, who brings me new happiness with each moment spent in his presence.
