Silent Memories
By Jimmy
Silent Memories Silence shares my blatted memories, as grief creeps into my holidays, To lose with despair, is to love, a deeper meaning of human existence, Cadillacs, diamonds nor castles, allow One's heart to feel passion, as measured to purity of affection, A child born, so clean of hate, As I sit, to stare at the lighted tree, I beg for grimaces of tiny chuckles, but, only silence conveys deafness, as father time extends his cold hand, Her space below the tree; vacant, dilutes my Christmas memories, Time filled by an abyss of empty voids, seeking refuge within potholes of hurt, Then I picture the smells of the past, retrieving her face from a lost mind, Reciprocity of pleasure fills my soul, as she surrounds my spirit with Joy. Today she soars with majestic wings, to dance, to splash, to play, to live, Encircling new hearts with mirth, Again, to share her entire being. © J Fossier 12/00 In Holiday memory of Christina Fossier, August 10, 1983 - March 24, 2000.
