Questions in the Night
Have you had an occasion to wonder? Very late in the still of night? Is there anything you could have changed, to make your life seem more right? Maybe things would have been different if you had borne another child? Maybe the one you did have, wouldn't have been so wild? This child has such definite memories. You wonder if he got them from a dream. Because none of the things you remember resemble any of his, in life's stream. This stream or river of life, that flows so differently for us all. Makes me wonder where he got his ideas. It surely wasn't OUR downfall. So many times I have said, his life is nothing like WE taught. How can that be possible? Answers to these questions I've sought.
