Did you notice when u met him?That little golden bandThe ring that symbolises loveOn the third finger on his left handDid you look inside his wallet?And see a beautiful faceSmiling at her daddyWith a love not even you can replaceDid you think how clean and smart he looked?In his freshly ironed shirtDid u stop and think about me?And all the lies and hurtDid u wonder all about us?Or did u shut your eyes?Pretending we didn’t matterYou covered us with liesDid you think you’d take our life?With a smile and sexy lookYou may have read the chapterBut I still have the bookWe’ve mended the broken pagesThe spine is stuck down fast with glueWe’ve made a vow between usTo never mention youYou’re over, finished, past itYou were a part of historyA bitter part of learningThat failed to break a familybefore you post any sympathy comments for me.... this poem is not personal to me, in fact i haven't a clue what made me write it, i have such a strong loving marriage (or is my subconscious trying to tell me something.
