Dead Again
It's Christmas day And Santa is stealing Jesus's limelight On his very own birthday. Familys gather around a dead tree, Watching the kids open preasents. Happy birthday Jesus It's good Friday And Jesus's glory is again stolen By the easter bunny. Familys celebrate chocolate rather than your birthday now, As they watch the kids get sick. I'm sorry your father killed you. Seems we're the ones killing you now. Your already dead outside of the church. People only call to you If they want something. And your blamed for all there misfortunes. Maybe you should send more angels They seem to have all gone home. Sorry I didn't wish you a happy birthday I would have gone to midnight mass, But I was keeping the illusion of Santa alive. Sorry I didn't pay my respects at easter. Don't worry though, your death wasn't in vain, Some people still believe. But thank-you for the long weekend. Sorry I never told the kids the story of your life Jesus, Now they only use your name to swear. But I'll see you in heaven right?? Written April 14th, 2002 © on Apr 13 2002 06:18 PM PST 0 • 13
