Lighthouse Dreams

By KritterKat

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Starry night sky with sprites playing connect-the-dots with the stars.I wish I were in a lighthouse by the sea.Where each stone has a tale to tell.Feeling the cold texture of the stone against bare feet. You are a beacon in the night.Brighter than the brightest star. You turn flickering candles into stars Bursting with brilliance like fireworks.Salty taste of the sea stings upon the tongue. The sea shares her dreams with the lighthouse.I wish I were in a lighthouse by the sea,Listening to the dreams surging in the waves. But, this is not a poem about a lighthouse by the sea. It’s about brightening the darkness in someone’s world.Of freeing someone to dare live their dreams.
