Away She Flies
By kyew
As the purple shade drops from my eyes, still I cannot see her I wander through this distorted reality thinking But never knowing exactly which way to turn The earth drops away in front of me And I am left standing on a pinnacle of unbelief A step backward into nothing- the past is gone Away she flies without the briefest farewell But the end is yet to come A ceaseless wind cradles her memory to mine And within I find a means; a path to resistance Oh, but it is a dark road this that I travel No warmth to be found and I wonder Who will be the next to fall? Away she flies and I know it will not be her... But could it? Yes, it could it could easily be meabout suicide... nothing more to say Written March 31st, 2002 © on Mar 31 2002 06:46 AM PST, R. T.
