Swept Away

By kyew

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Our souls entwined- misty moments of smooth, rounded curves and warm connections. Like two autumn leaves, drifting on the wind within life itself. Your little ways... a touch here, a word there, draw me closer every day. Press your fingers to my lips- I taste your need. Drowning in your eyes your desires I fulfill. You need but ask... Swept away in a whirlwind of emotional bliss. You write the songs that make my heart dance- bestow your fevered blessings upon this chilled brow and I am whole. Question not why we love, only that we do. Zephyrs of moments sweet; killing me gently- now reviving. Swept away- returning with less. Ascending notes struck soundlessly upon the xylophone of captured seconds unwind- loosing the bonds holding me earthbound. I soar above the clouds holding you close- just you and I embedded in velvet foam, graceful cushions of yearning and I am swept away. challenge: Stephanie Sunshine's- write a poem using every letter of the alphabet in the beginning of the lines. That was definitely a fun challenge. X will be my bane for life... lmao! Congrats to the winner, Malevolent Angel! Written April 7th, 2002 © on Apr 10 2002 10:31 PM PST, R. T. Howard   0 • 16
