Under the Sun
By kyew
...and in the warm light of the summer sun that masked the frivolity of the night-play We wandered the fields with spirits soaring In the heat of the day we would lie beneath that old oak and watch as the light spattered on the leaves Sun-dappled shadows spun and twisted upon our faces We would run to fall in the grass clinging to each other laughing from the depths of our souls How we found that warm summer pond and played so carefree as only two creatures of the earth can be loving life and living love under the sun written in response to inspiration from another poem Written March 31st, 2002 © on Mar 31 2002 02:12 AM PST, R.
