'Life…The Storm of the Century'
By Lady JHA
Gray skies, and winter cold wind blows. A birth ushers my existence into this world. Arriving into loneliness and stormy skies. Sadness, despair, winter snows blowing Does anyone see me? Does anyone care? Can anyone answer the why’s of life? Growing with the storms, reaching adulthood. Nothing makes sense the older I get. Thunder, lightening crashing into my life. The turmoil’s of everyday life never seem easy. Growing old alone, never seeing the blue skies Or touching the face of the man I love. Aging with the hostile storms. What have I seen? What have I done? Has it been enough? Or was it too little? Will I ever see the stars? Soon I will die, and no one will even notice. My life slips ever so closely to its end. But alas, the clouds finally break, The sun appears and the storms have abated. And my eyes finally see the heavens! With all its warmth and glory. With love and friendship. A gentle breeze flows now softly on my face. Tis’ time and I take my last and final breath. Life…The storm of the centuryNever had others read my stuff. ...so be kind with the comments.
