Turn the Page

By Ld Marduk

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Tis now something I must do,Get on with living, even though,To leave behind what might have been,Begin anew…all over again –But turn the page, oh this I must,For where there once, had but been trust,That time, alas, it be noe more,And I cannot wait, keep hoping for –Things to be, as once they were,For such is more than I deserve,I failed thee, how well I know,And since thou cannot let it go –I must turn the page at last,Cannot go on living…in the past,For tis thy love, that I have lost,And cannot, truly, bear the thought –That my life must now go on, it seems,With thee…as but a memory,For thou cannot, e’er let it go,For I failed thee, how well I know,So turn the page, I do at last,Leaving all that was…unto the past.
